Meet Aliyah!

This little sweetheart is Aliyah!  And when I say Aliyah is little I really mean it.  Here Aliyah is 5 months old and she weighs 5 lbs!  She was sooooo tiny that my little newborn outfits just drowned her!  Isn’t she beautiful?  A fun little fact about miss Aliyah… She is Brinley’s baby sister and they weighed the exact same when they were weighed in!

How early was your baby born? 8 weeks early or 32 weeks and 4 days

How much did your baby weigh? 3lbs 3oz

What was the hardest thing that you experienced during this time?

Watching my baby have Bradys.

(Bradys are when the baby’s heart stops beating and they stop breathing. )

It was also hard when I couldn’t hold or feed my baby when I wanted to.

What is the most wonderful thing that happened during this time?

The first feeding with mom was amazing

What is the most important lesson that you learned throughout your NICU experience?

The doctors know what they are doing and to trust them.

If you could meet any parent of a NICU baby, what advice would you give them?

Do whatever you need to do to get through this time.

Now that you are home as a family, what are your favorite things to do?

Just… hold my baby
